Going Back to High School

So, it is official. The Middle School Program at Eastfield has been discontinued, making Eastfield Global Magnet School a K - 5 school, like all the other elementary schools in the county.

I have been reassigned to the Titan Freshmen Academy to teach 9th grade World History. Since I graduated from McDowell High School, it is going to be a real adjustment of thinking to be back there, not as a student or just for Professsional Development, but as a member of the faculty.

It remains to be seen.... a little Glee, a little Fast Times at Ridgemont High? Clueless or Veronica Mars? High School is its own culture. It will take some time to see what this place is really about.

So, give me time. It's been 34 years since I went to High School.
