Gamification of History!

 

I was chosen to take part in the online Gamification Seminar for the North Carolina Center for the Advancement of Teaching (NCCAT), which is located across from the campus of Western Carolina University, in Cullowhee, NC.  

 

I learned to use the 3DGameLab.com site to write learning quests, collaborate online with other teachers and students, and to play and learn in the virtual world of World of Warcraft.

 

We are using a gamification learning management system called Classcraft, based on World of Warcraft.  Students can learn and earn together!

 

This is my character, my virtual avatar (I wish I could do what she can!).  She is StoneBowl, a human Hunter with wicked crossbow skills!  She has a fiercely faithful wolf companion who is her fighting partner.
